Raised on a farm in new Zeland, Lucy’s lifelong love of horses and romance for the mountains she has grown up in are immediately tangible in her paintings. We can see through Lucy’s eyes as she rides through the High Country, amongst the wild horses.
Uniquely Lucy is entirely self-taught. With no sketching or preparation she will pick up a knife and start to paint. What results is a fresh and uninterrupted vision from the heart of the artist and perhaps explains why Lucy’s paintings have such a strong emotional and spiritual energy.
Working from her home in Jindabyne, people have connected deeply with Lucy’s artwork from all over the world and her following both within Australia and overseas is ever growing. Lucy produces a range of beautiful limited edition prints both on canvas and paper to meet the demand for her artworks.
The popularity of her work is testament to our enduring love of the Australian Bushman and the Man from Snowy River High Country.
